I believe each one of us is the result of what we LEARN in life. Here are some things that I learnt:
There is NOTHING called a FREE Lunch, whether at work, society or home. So be careful when you are invited out.
Dream is not what you see when you are sleeping, its what prevents you from sleeping in the dead of the night.
Be Deaf to people who say you can’t do it. A school teacher scolded a boy for not paying attention to his mathematics and for not being able to solve simple problems. She told him that you would not become anybody in life. The boy was Albert Einstein.
There are no bad businesses .. just a few bad managers that help them to get there. I had the opportunity of bringing some back to black and that’s how I learnt this.
Words, no matter how carefully chosen, contribute to only 7% to the effectiveness of a communication. Pretty often what you don’t say, says a lot more than what you do. No one ever speaks a word at a funeral.
There are no prizes for the “runners up”.. so if you don’t AIM to be the best .. don’t run.. go see an old relative especially if s/he is ailing.
Work Smarter Not Harder, Today’s thristy crow doesnt go around finding pebbles in the jungle – he spots a ’straw’ next to the Pepsi can, drink up the bottom most drop and quickly fly to higher planes
The shortest cut to completing a task is the longest one and the converse is also true.
If you are not living on the Edge – you are perhaps occupying too much space.
If two of you are doing the same thing – one of you is excess baggage
Never give up. Remember life is an ocean of options. Often what seems to be an end of the road is just the beginning of a highway.
And some things that baffle me:
The older I get .. the more I miss my parents
I am not into religion .. but love to pray even if nothing changes what has to happen.
I know money can’t buy you everything, but we all persue it as if it bought everything
Every time we think we know Everything … we realize how we know nothing !
People who are difficult to offend are so simple to hurt?
The more we change – the more we don’t
AND some unsolicited advise to those that need it:
If you’re going to cart all that emotional baggage around, make sure it’s at least durable and of the highest quality. In other words, learn from your past and you’ll still be able to get your present off the ground.
On what I want from here:
To avoid disappointments – I have come here without a “shopping” list. As for me I have been SHOPPED.
